As we continue to enjoy the summer months, Greater Manchester Police would like to remind residents to take extra care when leaving their vehicles unattended.

Vehicle criminals often target cars that contain visible valuables or have been left insecure, even for a short period. Please help protect your vehicle by:

✅ Always locking your vehicle and closing all windows and sunroofs.
✅ Removing valuables from sight, including bags, phones, wallets, tools and sat navs.
✅ Taking keys with you and never leaving the engine running unattended.
✅ Parking in well-lit and busy areas whenever possible.
✅ Using additional security devices such as steering wheel locks and alarms.
✅ Checking that your vehicle is secure after locking it.

If you notice any suspicious activity around vehicles in your neighbourhood, please report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101 or online. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999.
